Room 9 First class presents the cast of 'It's a Baby!' The boys and girls worked so hard. We are all very proud of them!!!

Science week continued

Well done to all the children for finding the longest carrots and heaviest potatoes. Here our the finalists!

Science Week part one

Today we had lots of fun in the hall pretending to be scientists!  This week is science week. We were in groups identifying dinosaurs, sorting and classifying leaves and insects. We also identified and weighed fruit and vegetables.  We recognised parts of the human body and learned about magnets and our teeth.

Sam Maguire visit

Today we had a very exciting visit from two members of the Dublin team and the Sam Maguire cup!!!

Our visit from Dublin Fire Brigade

Today was such an exciting day. We had a visit from Dublin Fire Brigade to raise awareness about fire safety. This week we have been learning all about fire safety and we even had a fire drill.

You'll find our 'swimming together through school' artwork framed hanging just inside the door downstairs. We're so proud of ourselves! 

Visual Arts

We have been very busy the last few weeks doing some lovely art! We do Visual Arts every Thursday. 

This week we drew dragons and painted them. We did the dragons I  response to our drama lessons based on the lonely dragon.

Last week we constructed and painted hedgehogs for Autumn.

English Stations

Today we started our English stations.  We had a great fun!
We are going to do them once a week.
